How can we help?

Getting started, fixes for the usual snags, and a real person at hello@dotflight.se if you need one.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Log in to EuroBonus

On flysas.com, the way you normally would.

  2. 2

    Press Dotflight

The round Dotflight button at the bottom right of any SAS page, or the Dotflight icon in Chrome's toolbar.

  3. 3

    Scan

Route, dates, stay and travellers, then Start scan. Each result opens SAS's booking on those dates.

Something not working?

I can't see the Dotflight button on SAS's site

It shows on www.flysas.com, www.sas.se, www.sas.no and www.sas.dk, at the bottom right. Reload the page once after installing. If it is still missing, click the Dotflight icon in Chrome's toolbar instead - if the icon is hidden, open the puzzle-piece menu at the top right of Chrome and pin Dotflight.

It says I'm not logged in

Dotflight uses your SAS login, so log in to EuroBonus on the same SAS site, then press Dotflight again. SAS logs people out after a while; a scan that gets logged out halfway keeps what it found and asks you to log in again.

The scan found no seats

Award seats are scarce, especially in Business and in holidays. Try a wider window, a longer or shorter stay, fewer travellers, or "any cabin". If you think seats are there, open one date in SAS's own award booking: Dotflight asks SAS the same question, so it sees the same answer. Then save the search as a seat alert and let Dotflight keep looking.

A price in Dotflight differs from SAS's

Seats and prices change all the time. Dotflight shows what SAS answered at the moment of the scan; SAS's booking page always has the final word. With an Amex 2-for-1 in your account, Dotflight shows SAS's discounted price.

Seat alerts never notify me

Alerts check while Chrome is open, every 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours - you choose in the Dotflight toolbar menu, which also shows when each alert last checked. Make sure Chrome may show notifications: on a Mac in System Settings, Notifications, Google Chrome; on Windows in Settings, System, Notifications. And stay logged in to SAS - Dotflight tells you if SAS has logged you out.

Does it work in Edge, Brave or on my phone?

Edge and Brave, yes - they run Chrome extensions. Phones and iPads cannot run browser extensions, so Dotflight needs a computer; each result is a normal SAS booking link you can then open on any device.

How do I update or remove Dotflight?

From the Chrome Web Store it updates itself. To remove it, right-click the Dotflight icon and choose Remove from Chrome. Your alerts are deleted with it - nothing is kept anywhere else.

I bought Pro - how do I switch it on?

Your licence key is shown right after you pay and arrives by email from dotflight.se. Click the Dotflight icon in Chrome's toolbar, choose Enter licence key, paste it and press Activate. One key works in up to 3 browsers; to move it, choose Remove from this browser in the old one first.

How do I cancel, get a receipt or a refund?

Cancel, change plan and find invoices on the licence page with your licence key, or in your Link account at link.com with the email you bought with. Lost your key? The licence page sends it to you again. Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for. Within 14 days of your first purchase you can withdraw and get everything back: Withdraw from contract here. See the terms and pricing for the details.

Is it safe to use my SAS login with Dotflight?

Dotflight never sees your password: it works inside SAS's own page, where you are already logged in, and makes the same availability requests SAS's booking page makes. It sends nothing to anyone but SAS, and it never books, pays or changes anything. More on privacy.

Chrome says Dotflight "is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing"

That note appears for extensions from developers who are new to the Chrome Web Store, and only if you have Enhanced Safe Browsing switched on. It is not a finding about Dotflight: Chrome marks a developer as trusted after a few months of following the Store's policies, and the note then goes away by itself. Dotflight has passed Google's review like every Store extension, and you can install it as normal.
